Congratulations!

We did a quickie courthouse wedding, but we're having a celebration with our families in a couple of weeks.

So this weekend is full of crazy wedding prep.

It's a pretty offbeat affair. I'm looking for the perfect shade of hot pink to dye my hair to match my black and pink swing dress, our 13 year old boy wants to wear a fedora with a hot pink feather, all the kids will be dressed in black and want to wear sunglasses. lol Dorks. My husband is wearing black and hot pink sneakers with his tux. mushy

We're trying to do as much shopping online as possible (already got my dress, corset, hot pink crinoline, fishnets, eye makeup, champagne, and a bunch of other shit all without leaving the house!) but today I'm going shopping for shoes with the mother in law while the kids clean the house. woot!

Last night I loved loved loved seeing The Magnetic Fields.

Today I'm being lazy for the monring hours, then going hiking at Lake Maria and seeing the lovely fall colors.

Tonight I'll likely watch many episodes of Weeds season 2 on dvd.

Tomorrow I'm having brunch with friends and then it's laundry and cleaning day. My apartment is in desperate need of it.

Last Night: Bumrushed the Roberto Cavalli fashion show (meaning I just walked in like I belonged there and avoided paying $300 for a ticket), got to meet him and do the double-kisses, got FUCKED up off free Moet and Belvedere martinis, ate up a bunck of free lobster, caviar and other shit, then KICKED it at the PM lounge at the Joule Hotel where Pacman got in a fight a few days ago. All in all a good night. woot!

Today: Working cuz I've been lollygagging for the last few days.
Tonight: Going to see the Color Purple at the Fair Park and praying that I don't spend 6 hours stuck in the post-TX/OU football game traffic. pray

Tomorrow: Working, cleaning, and watching football.

Ottensen

Friday night was an awesome vocal jazz concert (in the style of Take 6 and Manhattan Transfer), then tapas and drinks at an Spanish restaurant. I was full when we got there, but you CAN NOT keep me away from Spanish olives, no way, no how drooling

Saturday was sunny here! So that meant air drying laundry, and a stroll through the formal gardens (the last of the fall blooms) in our central park. I'm supposed to be doing tax stuff NOW, but er um...it's more fun procrastinating on this thread boxed Before I go to bed I will throw together some vegetables in a traditional "Tsukemono" (pickled veggies side dish) to accompany Japanese inspired meals next week because a friend comes in from Tokyo.

Tomorrow there's church, then afterwards I'll be headed to a green tea ceremony in a museum (?). I will have to hustle my butt to finish paperwork to turn in to my accountant by Monday, though evil

Parents are taking me out for an early birthday brunch tomorrow. I might be seeing a movie with my best girlfriend. I'm doing a tea garden tour thing on Sunday. I need to clean. And, always, homework.

And this is a "down", relaxed weekend. I have a cold. I've been drinking and partying all week. I'm exhausted. I need to schedule some actual free time.

went out last night, was fun and it got late. Had breakfast today with one of my best friends who lives in Italy and is in town this weekend, he introduced his Norwegian girlfriend to me (did I tell that I hate happy couples? lol )
I played a terrible round of golf afterwards, losing my skills at the game.....if I ever had them. Had dinner at the club and went home, fell asleep on the couch.....now I'm chilling to the new Thievery Corporation album, 'Radio Retaliation' which is awesome, as I write this.
I intend to sleep in tomorrow, sometime in the afternoon I will have to go to the fieldhockeyclub, my game starts at 5 pm.....hope we'll win.

That's it!
