William Peter Blatty directed The Exorcist 3 and wasnt even wanting it linked to The Exorcist movies.He wanted to call the film Legion but studio and producer pressure made him change it. Its a shame because if it wasnt linked to The Exorcist it could have done so much better...It also contains one of the best ever "fright" moments in cinematic history 
This was the scene where in the theater I saw this in, the guy right in front of us (who came by himself and was eating popcorn off the floor), grabbed the seat in front of him and leaned forward screaming like a little girl. FINNIEST thing I've ever seen in a movie theater (not including the movies I've seen there)!  When I saw it the entire packed movie theatre was jolted, people shouting and screaming, and then a full minute of everyone laughing at how scared they all were. I would love to see this in the cinema, especially the longer directors cut version..another film I never got to see in the cinema but would have loved to is The Blair witch project, the part where they hear the children outside the tent! | |
