A friend of mine just gave birth to the devil in the form of barf in my bathroom about an hour ago. The actual place appears to have been cleaned up and the puke has been flushed however the smell still lingers. I've already Febrezed the fuck out of the place but the aroma is so strong that I gag. I don't want to close the door because I'm afraid it will only trap the smell in there. Any tips on how to get the puke smell out?

She apparently did. I actually started to get all old lady at about 11 and stopped drinking. I horribly mixed a vodka punch drink and that about did me in. The margaritas I had earlier were quite good though. I should have just made more margs when I got home.

I suggest PineSol the original, industrial strengts scent not the lemon, which I actually prefer but in this case won't get the job done.

Let some fresh air in.

Turn on any ceiling fans. Or use portable ones. Use the fans with the windows open to draw out the smell.

Okay, I did the bleach stuff but apparently this girl had some special kind of puke because I still smell it. I'm going to try it again and really scrub the floor down too. I thought she had made it to the toilet but now I am wondering if maybe she didn't puke on the floor and half ass clean it up. I'll crack the window in there too. Don't know why I didn't think of that before. And maybe I'll throw some baking soda in there for good measure.

The smell is still slightly there. I had to leave the house to go see Kathy Griffin so I didn't get a chance to re-tackle it. I sprayed a lot of Febreze in that area last night and I can still smell that too. I'm starting to wonder if I've associated the Febreze smell with the barf too much and maybe I'm now just really smelling that. I'm opening the window now and just sprayed the floor down with the Clorox.

My friend doesn't come here. I'm not mad at her, we've all been there before. Now I'm wondering if my puke has this much staying power.

When I got engaged my now ex and I stayed at his sister's place one night and we all went out drinking and I puked all over her carpet.

Ooo, that's rough. I'm sure you probably got it out now. If regular bleach doesn't work, I've found that the spray specially formulated for mold and mildew has a stronger bleachy smell than bottle bleach, takes the funk out of a lot of stuff.

Im not sure if u can get this where u are Julie, but if u can try something called Nilodor....brillinat stuff...comes in tiny little bottles and just a couple of drops can kill just about any smell...no joke

I hate the smell of puke...it makes me gag as well
