Are you a gentlewoman?

In this times when people are talking about gender equality, wouldnt it be ok for a woman opening the door for a man or pay the bill when they are out eating or buy him a drink etc. gentleman maners.
Could you do that too a man?

I think it's the asking eithier way that comes across as rude ...I would never ask a guy to buy me a drink nor would I like a guy asking me to buy him one...I think its just something that should be happily done by eithier....
When ever I've been out with guys ..its usually I pay for one round and he gets the next or whatever shrug

i've asked a guy if he wanted me to buy him a drink.

He was so fine. So so fine.
We were in the middle of a convo and I asked him. He was shocked.
He kept saying "are u sure" lol

He had the sexiest lips i've ever seen. I couldnt tell u what the conversation was about tho. I just wanted to buy him a drink so I could see his lips get wet.

Sure, why not! I do it anyway. It's in my nature to hold the door for people, unless they look like the types that doesn't say "thank you", then I let it slam in thier face. But this dude came into Dunkin Donuts and asked if I could buy him a coffe, after I said 'yes' he tries to tell me how much he loves me. He puts my hand on his heart and starts talking all of this bull and it was sounding like "Girl, I could be a good man for you wah wah wah wah wah wah..." next thing you know the fool asks can he borrow 3 dollars. confused That's when I was like "I don't have it!" and proceeded to walk out with my sister. lol

I can sure. But, I'm old fashioned. I want a man to wine and dine me. If I was going on a first date and he asked me out then I'd want him to pay for everything.

If I asked him out I'd pay, but I probably wouldn't do that. shrug

I do open doors for men though. Like Vero said. But, most insist that I go first. However some do go through and don't even say thank you. mad

But, lots of women do that too. It's just plain rude.

Seems like if you open an door for a man it's an insult, unless you know him very well, I stopped trying to do that ages ago, but I'll hold the door (as I'm going out) as oppose to just letting is slam in their face sometimes. Paying the bills, well, unless it's kind of an equal "carrying your own load" thing happening then, nah. Buying a drink, that cool, it's all a game anyway.

Exactly. nod In my mind, it's assumed you're each paying your own way until someone offers. If a guy wants to buy, I totally accept. I will offer to pay the next time and so on.

All that said, it is always a treat to find a guy who opens doors and offers to pay. lol
It's certainly not a necessity, but it's a nice bonus.
