I started to panic when I turned 25,turning 30 was much easier.

I can relate big time, but i wouldnt be bothered aging if i had a lot of experiences and been creative.
The problem for me is that i reached a point and missed things on the way, i lost my youth.

Me too!

I told people not to call me on my birthday and those fools thought I was kidding. neutral My cousin forgot the day of my BDay and asked what day it was, so I told her it was on the 12th {it's actually on the 9th} and she called me on the 12th from school like "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!", had her friends saying it too falloff I was dying and told her my BDay passed 3 days ago. She was all " neutral what?!"

I only get upset thinking about my age because I remember so clearly the day I turned 18. Can't beleive it was 3 years ago AND my birthday is 3 months away, you know that's gonna come around fast. As far as I'm concerned I'm still 18. hmph!

I used to have a problem with getting older. It started when I was 25. But about the time I hit 30, aging didn't bother me nearly as much. The only thing that does bother me is I can't drink as much as I used to (at least not without pissing myself as I throw up in the morning) and I can't pull all-nighters anymore. shrug

My first reaction to this was eek WTF? 23! That's SO young! But, then I remembered feeling the same when I was 23, so .. in 10 years time you'll look back and think 'Shit! I was SO young then, what was I thinking about!!' Believe me, you are VERY YOUNG! Don't worry about it, just enjoy it, then you can look back and say, and God I had a good time! biggrin I think 23 was one of the best years of my life, free, single, happy.... I don't want to talk about my age now lol But, it's all about your attitude to life I think, people start to act like a certain 'age', they think it's expected, you don't have to act like anything except yourself! You can be as young or as old as you like!

I've suddenly found myself surrounded by 23 year olds in many areas of my life.

I've noticed a lot of them saying that they're starting to feel old. Maybe it's relative, I don't know.

I don't remember feeling old at 23. I felt old at 28.

I'm 31 now, and in some ways I feel younger than I have in years. Maybe it's because I'm living like I'm young again and have a lot of younger people in my life. On the other hand, I'm often painfully reminded that I'm NOT 23 anymore and that I am getting old(er) and can't keep up with the pace that I did at 23.

i'm 33 eek eek , and don't know how the last ten years happened.
i think the early twenties are a time when you realise you are now an adult for real and have to get on with it.

but seriously the years will just start to roll by.

Don't worry Psycho.

Life gets better when you're getting older.

I'm very old.

And I lost all my doubts, insecurities and vulnerabilities.

I'm 27. I think when you get past around 26, 27 you realise you can't really identify with 18-21 year olds. They're another generation. You're no longer a young 20-something but more like someone getting ready for their 30s. lol It's not a bad feeling though.

Actually I never thought it sucked until now. I'm 45.
Until this year I have felt twentysomething.

Now I need more rest. I know more of what I like.
I've seen sooooo many action pics ( biggrin ) that it's hard to find a good one.
With movies, it seems I've seen them all and people just keep rehashing the good ones.

I do have a lot of great memories. lol
I've done a lot of things I could never have imagined at 23.

There's something to be said that you are as old as you feel.
My thirties were certainly better than my twenties.

Yeah, I know none it's any consolation here and now, but if you could save this thread and read it twenty years from now . . .be interesting to see what you think and feel then.
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Eventually you'll hit the age where you'll be unable to even remember how old you are. smile

I'm a couple of months short of 42 and I feel great...physically fit and active....all I'd suggest is to pamper yourself and keep your mind fresh...a young mind makes the process much easier to navigate!
