I mean, do u think she would consider I'm calling her a slut? Of course not, we're married and we know each other. She is just naive about some things because she's looked after herself since she was young and left home and she's always up until the last couple of years been a party girl. I know her so I know where the misunderstandings and misinterpretations come from and I'm protective of her, understandably. For an English man and a Thai girl there are lots of issues, especially when u go to a western bar with many prostitutes and questionably intentioned women. #1) why people might think you're a pretentious asshole: I just talk with her about what sort of person she wants to be, her future, and how to be the sort of person she wants to be. Thai girls can be very naive about some things.

I fully understand what u're saying and I don't mean to patronise or come across as superior. I just think u need to have been there to empathise and see what I'm talking about. My girlfriend has taught me a lot about life because she knows about so much I was ignorant of coming from my completely different background. Likewise she would openly admit she lets me teach about some things and she puts her future in my hands so I see that as my duty. Is there anything wrong with that? If u go to Thailand and stay with Thai people u will appreciate the wonderful qualities they have but u will also see the flaws in the culture and the limitations in much of their education, or lack of it. | |

She's a sweet girl with the greatest qualities, am I wrong to help her and try to protect her. I might control her a little sometimes but if she openly admits that I always think the best for her and help her? It's one thing to be strong in your convictions and know u're not a slut but there are dangers. | |
