Lap Dogs

Anyone here have a dog so small that he/she can sit on your lap and just stay there for hours?

One of my college roommates has a Maltese, Ginger, that she brought into our campus apartment. Though we're not really allowed to have dogs here, she's been here for a couple of weeks now. Whenever I'm in my room and my door's open, she'll come in, either to hide from the rowdy nature of my roommates and their friends from the local apartments or just to hang out. She's so small that she can fit on my lap and sometimes she'll stay there for hours. At least until she hears a knock on the door and then she charges out of the room to bark.

My aunt has a Shih-Tzu, Nikki, just as loveable and huggable and she's just as spoiled.
I don't have a pic to post of Ginger, but if other people will post pics of their lap dogs, I think I can post one of Nikki wink
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

This is the smallest I have ever seen my puppy, he was 3 months old when we got him.

This is him now, he would break me if he sat on my lap for more then 2 minutes!

My beloved Marley is about 12 lbs of perfection. love

My current foster baby Scamp was 8 lbs when I got him and has gained 2 lbs. Thank God, he's not skin and bones anymore. And he goes to his forever home this weekend. woot!

Princey-pie is HUGE for this breed at 22 lbs but Scamp INSISTS on forcing himself into Prince's bed to cuddle. mushy

I have a little butterball. He's awesome. He's my first little dog (always had big dogs) and he is nothing like I thought all little dogs were like. He's quiet and gentle and not crazy hyper and all that other bad stuff little dogs are known to be like.
