Moolah Making Suggestions

Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I've been back to the org...and it will be a while before I get back on later. This is a day off my punishment.

Anyway, I am an artist. I paint, I draw, I sketch, etc. I will be going to college next fall, and I want to become a cartoonist and translator.

I am currently unemployed, and for some odd reason can't seem to get a job to save my life...no matter how qualified I am.

So, I decided to try to sell art to get some extra pocket change. I have 100$ coming my way, and I want to utilize it in a way so that I can make more money from it.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to sell the art and utilize that 100$ to the best.
Even if it is not art related, I am all ears, and open to suggestions.

Thanks for your help!
Let's have a little fun....
If you win, I'll give you 50$
If I win, you have to get a lobotomy.

A win win situation your you.

what i would recommend is you buy some FOOD so you can stay ALIVE.
I can see that 100 bucks is burning a hole in your pocket before it has even got there.
It will be gone in less than an hour so you better spend it on something that will stick with you a while.
Buy some pancake mix and syrup, potatoes and rice. Some foods that will last more than a month.

but seriously

did you make the $100 from selling your art?... are there possibilities for more sales that way?

are you at a level where you can teach beginners?.... if so... maybe put some of the money towards advertising

do you have any local markets where you can set up a stall with your art?.... there is usually a fee for setting up a stall...do you have enough art?... if not you could spend some on materials and get busy

You might spend some of the money to get your resume done professionally.

There's gotta be a reason you aren't getting hired - assuming you are, in fact, qualified for the jobs you're applying for.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Actually, I graduated from high school in June, and the 100$ was part of my graduation present.

Earlier in the summer, I was a volunter assistant teacher for the arts council in the city for 5 weeks (or 69hrs). I could possibly teach, but I'm not too sure that I'd do so well.

Here is the link to my deviant art:
http://sapphirehime.deviantart.com/

and Fanart Central:
http://www.fanart-central...er-Bri.php

I haven't been able to upload to much new stuff...no scanner.

The orange onions won gold key at the scholastic art awards.
Another piece won silver key.

As for art sells, I have only sold pickle art (don't ask.) for a festival in a neighboring town. And there, most of the art that I've entered has won (or placed) in the art contest. I'd have to say that I've at least made 50 bucks at most at school from contests.

I was intending on buying some supplies with some of the money, but I would still have ample left over, and I wanted to use it in a constructive way.

Whenever I go on walks, I try to take my camera with me so that I can take pictures of some of the scenery. I intend on using some of those in my upcoming art projects.
Let's have a little fun....

I had a friend that painted custom made caskets, they were beautiful and very personalised. Don't knock it!
