Why are some men getting waxed?

Men are hairy thats the way they are made why the hell are some men going in for waxing I mean even waxing there armpits its just wrong and it looks terrible. You wont catch me anywhere near a waxing strip.

Women are made hairy too

it's all to maintain a youthful look compared to a mature one

competition is fierce

nod

We've got hairy armpits, legs, crotches, and bigger eyebrows than we let on. Not that you'd know it though.

It's perfectly natural; it's how we were made. Why object to men waxing, but not women? If women are to be expected to be balder than newborn babies (because even they've got hair on their legs!) then if men feel like hair removal they can go right ahead. Conversely, if men shouldn't be stripping off their hair, why should women?

I think the woman in the video brings up a good point about how certain features that existed in nature but only like a small part of the population became a standard of beauty, but now the standards don't even exist in nature.

Although I have some very naturally smooth male friends (that is, for the popular areas of male waxing - back, torso, arms).

Thanks for posting that. She's spot on.

I'll admit, I do shave down below, but not everything. All the hair up front stays put. Because while I do like the direct skin-on-skin contact that comes with being bare, I can't go completely bald. Only little girls should have bald pussies.

nod

Big, gravity defying boobies come to mind. Natural boobs that have any size to them at all are at the mercy of gravity, even when the woman's young. But somehow this impossible, floating-in-space look has become the ideal of what's beautiful. It's got to the point where I've actually heard men AND women say natural boobs are ugly or too saggy.

I don't think standards of beauty START with pornography THEN leak out into the mainstream though.

No ones talking about people who have naturally very little body hair then in their case it is just natural alot of african men for instance have very little body hair. Im talking about men who are hairy and are getting waxed.

I think they sort of happen concurrently rather than being a chicken-egg thing. How we arrived at such impossible ideals is kind of a mystery. But it's not the first time this has happened either. Back in the days when women wore corsets the ideal was to have a waist measurement no greater than your age. And lets not forget Chinese foot-binding, where grown women were the most beautiful if they had feet the size of a small child's.

I ask the same thing all the time. Women might get hair on their legs and pits or anywhere else and people cal it "nasty". But when it's a dude it's called "natural" or "manly"...wtf? confuse

I've never waxed. I imagine it'd be too painful. I'll occasionally trim my underarm hair a bit if I'm bored. lol I've trimmed my chest hair with my beard trimmer before too, also more out of boredom than vanity.
