Just got done watching "Diners,Drive Ins,and Dives" and they had some deep fried pickles ! Anyone ever try em and are they good !Think I need 2 do a google search and look 4 a recipe !?

Deep-fried dills are great!

First, you need the right kind of pickle. One that's good and crunchy (so it'll stand up to frying) - like Clausen's. Second, you need the right batter. Forget breading - that's too heavy. You want something light, but flavorful - like beer batter.

Cut the pickles into bite-sized pieces. There is nothing worse than not being able to put the whole thing in your mouth, biting into it, and having hot pickle juice squirt down the front of you. (Okay, that sounded really dirty, but you know what I mean.)

Deep-fried dills - along with deep-fried cheese curds - are the stuff of dreams.

Good thing there's a restaurant down the street that's open till 4AM

I saw an episode of that show where they had deep fried Twinkies that looked really, really good.

I have tried deep fried twinkies and oreos ! But have missed out on the snickers bars

I always wanted to try them but I couldn't find a place that sells them around here. I was listening to the Steve Harvey morning show one day and he said if you like fried chicken and you like pickles, you'll like fried pickles.
