Your First Car My husband called me today and wanted to discuss buying a 1976 Cutlass for my daughter. It would be her first car.
We decided against it because it's a real wheel drive so it would not be good for winter driving. She owes me.... j/k....kinda Anyways...what was your first car? Mine was a Ford Pinto. Year was something like 1979-80. I got the car in 1986. I'm firmly planted in denial

But mine was maroon. | |

My Pinto was dark green with a tan interior.
It was a 2 door...the passenger door had a dent in it where my sister hit a tree backing out of our driveway and you had to lift the driver's door to close it because one of my sister's friends sat on the open car door through the window. I'm firmly planted in denial

Mine was a 1988 white Chevy Cavalier with a blue pin stripe going down the side of it. It was a rust bucket and my 6 year old nephew referred to it as "Rusty Wallace". I got the car back in 1995 when I turned 18 and finally stopped driving it in 2001. The car did nothing but break down every chance it got. Winters were hell! My dad bought it for me a couple of days after I got my driver's license. The driver's side door didn't open from the outside, so I'd have to crawl in through the passenger's side . I was terrified of driving it because once I'd hit 50mph, the car would shake like crazy and I could barely hold on to the steering wheel because of all of the shaking. That car was a piece of shit. I saved up my money and bought another car a couple of months later.

When you were 15? Wow. Now looking back do you think that was a good thing? Did it teach you the value of money? Or were you/are you bitter?

A Dodge Sundance... it looked so good in the beginning, and then... what a lemon it turned out to be.
I even choose a car over a month long European Vacation... with my H.S. group at the time. Car was cool then, but I surely would of benefited from the experience of traveling Europe back then. Damn it.

I was rolling a 1987 Dodge Omni. It was definitely function over style, but I was grateful... and I was stoked because it was made the same year as Sign O the Times!
It looked a lot like this one... Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
