I've posted about a couple of dreams I've had before in this place.

This one was another first. It's unusual simply because I don't dream things like this up and it doesn't resemble anything I'd personally faced. But perhaps other people have.

Basically in the dream, I live in this violent neighborhood. I'm not quite sure where I am, but I think I'm outside and there are gun shots. I see bullet holes in all the surrounding buildings. I figure its just regular gang violence and nothing to worry about. But the shots keep coming and some seem to be aimed right in my direction and miraculously I dodge them all.

Next thing I remember is a black car that has a really old make. Something like in the 40's and 50's, but its jet-black with four doors. A group of thugs come out of it. I'm with an older man at least in his 50's and I'm not sure who it is. Either a family friend or a relative like an uncle, not quite sure of his identity. He's having a discussion with the gang leader. In the process, I get grabbed and thrown into the back of the car, apparently in a plot for my abduction that involves higher stakes. Like with my family or something.

Negogiations are going on between this man I'm with and the members of the gang. Oddly enough, I'm in the car by myself. There may be a driver, but in any case, I realize that the doors are unlocked so I open the door to get out. During this confrontation, the gang is holding the man at gunpoint. I do something or something happens and I put the gun in the man's hands and I help him pull the trigger on the gang leader. The others then flee. In the back of my mind, I'm wondering if the plot can be stopped simply by killing the gang leader or they're going to keep going after me or my family's fortune.


So I wake up after all this somewhat confused and at the same time, interested. I don't live in an area with a lot of violence, but Philly sure came to mind when I was in the dream as its known for its violence (never been on those streets either).
I'm thinking either one of two things:
"How do I interpret this dream?" and "This might make an interesting short story"

Being a writer, the 2nd option appeals to me in particular right now. Very interesting

Okay first of all are U a thug deep down and don't know it ?
Seriously it sounds like U are worried about yourself,your family and your friends !
Most gangs are punks and only have any kind of heart when they run in packs or are packin any type of weapon !
The black car seems like it might be a Caddilac Hearst and U R scared of death ! Espically a family member !?

As far as the negotions go it sounds like U might have unresolved issues with a friend or a close family member !?
