My new ride For this week, anyway.
I'm doing a 2,300 mile trip, from Seattle to Indianapolis. It's fun playing trucker. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

Nope. I've got a BMW waiting for me when I arrive, but it's nothing special at all: 1987 325. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

Thanks. Yeah, the 3 Series BMW's from the 1980s are a timeless design. And they're very well-built. Even though they need a little more TLC than the average car, this one still drives wonderfully after 21 years and about 175,000 miles. Not even a single rattle. My hope is that I can keep it running for at least 4 more years, after which it'll qualify for a historic/antique/collector/whatever license plate. We'll see how it goes. I've been having a blast. The truck is surprisingly easy to drive. In fact, I don't think it's much harder than driving a minivan. There are really just three things to remember:
A little over 1,000 miles to go... over halfway there! Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
