 Same here! Plus hummous and extra garlic sauce. We have the best drive-thru middle eastern place near my apt. They have THE BEST falafel sandwiches I've ever had. Oh man...
http://www.cedarlandrestaurants.com/ The old lebanese lady who works in the drive thru is a total rebel - she doesn't wear a hijab, wears a lot of make up, smokes and calls me honey and speaks Arabic to me with her super raspy voice. that sounds like the best. the little mom and pop falafel joints are always the best. i still miss dima cafe in NYC, which has been out of business for years. but wow, their falafel was incredible, their grape leaves were huge, their hot sauce was divine, and they had what they called "vegetarian kibbe" which was basically a big breaded eggplant corndog thingie, and it was the best thing ever.
i think dima was the only restaurant in my experience where the employees greeted me by name when i'd walk in. | |
