The beginning of the summer I was doing great, by going to the gym at least 3 to 4 times a week. I slacked off after I moved, but today I plan on going to the gym for an hour or two. I have to get back on track for the fall.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

In July I tried out a new program, working out six-seven days a week before my vacation, and in a month's time I say a drastic change. But since mid-August I took a break.

I've been prepping to get back into the program the past week and I'll be starting it up again in the next day or so. I'm training for my phyiscal fitness exam next April.

Until I ruptured the disk in my lower back in 1998, I was exercising every day.
What a BUMMER cause they said they "won't operate!" I CAN do some very low impact stuff but I usually don't lately. I felt so much better when I did though-exercise makes a huge difference. I DO walk when I can though and that's good exercise too.

Why not what? You mean why won't they operate? They said because
I am Diabetic with COPD/Heart issues, they don't think they should
risk it. So I took physical therapy after it initially happened but
now years down the road, I think it's gotten worse. I also have some
neuropathy from the Diabetes and that doesn't help either! Damn-I
really hate it but I do what I can to exercise no matter how small.
I DO wish they would have operated prior to me getting the Diabetes
other health issues because possible then, I may not have developed
these other health concerns. Who knows.... confused

I do yoga at home about 5 mornings a week.

I like Namaste Yoga on fitTV, and Sara Ivanhoe's yoga with weights.

"Namaste"= I bow to the divine within you" Sounds
interesting-we did Yoga in Theories of Stress
Management class and I found it to be very relaxing.

I have heard that Yoga is supposed to be relaxing, but some of those positions,I just would'nt be able to do.

This does not look relaxing btw
[Edited 9/13/08 15:12pm]

lol

It's not about being relaxing. It's a system that includes body, mind and spirit. Some of the poses are really challenging and really work your muscles and test your balance. Others are meant to stretch and relax.

Don't underestimate the value of long walks! They are one of my favourite ways to keep in shape. I love getting outside, getting fresh air and clearing my head...for free! biggrin Keep up the good work!
