Even though the man is a brilliant actor, and really doesn't get all the props he deserves, Clarence Williams, III does tend to overract quite a lot in his movies...here's an example:

I've had more laughs watching these guys in drama than I've had from many of my favorite comedies.

I was watching Sister Act the other day and kept wondering "Why in the hell is Whoopi overacting like this?" Then a few hours later, Ghost came on and there she was, at it again. "Molly. . . you in dainja, gurl." She hasn't done anything nearing her nuanced performance in The Color Purple.

I think a lot of comedians overact a lot. Will Farrel and Owen Wilson are good examples of that. They make something thats meant to be funny not be funny...which I don't know how its possible
