My daughter took me to see it. I rather liked it. I guess you can say it was a paint by numbers type of movie, no surprises or twist in the plot. The bitch was a bitch through and through, and the bastard a bastard, everybody else was likable. It did have a lot of feel good emotional stuff in it, a chick flick, I guess. Directed towards a more mature audience yet family friendly. Nothing Madea about it, except for Perry in a(n) afro wig that was a bit distracting. I wanna go back and see it again, and I want that freakin song by Gladys, without buying the soundtrack.

I don't know. It has a very low rating on imdb.....but you can't really go by that yet. Because anyone can vote, I don't take their ratings to heart. I have my suspicions about the ratings on imdb. The imdb boards are also playgrounds for those who like to trolls. Is this the first time Tyler Perry has made a non comedy? I just can't tolerate his comedies.....and that House of Payne show is probably the worst show I've ever seen. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Well, ain't nobody going to be walking away with any awards with this movie. It's not one that'll be popular with most org folks. And there is an thing some people have about Tyler Perry, I never really paid him much attention before myself. This isn't his first non-comedic movie, I think it's the second which in my opinion is a bit better than the first, especially in the plot. But I'm willing to drop the $10.50 to see it again, so there must of been something to it, cause that's something I hardly ever do.

I want to see it.
Someone told me it was pretty goood. Alot of people never heard of him until his movies, which I find weird, if you go to wal-mart you can find his plays on DVD, which I honestly think are WAY more funnier and WAY more dramatic. Your lips would make a lollipop too happy.

I am not a fan of Tyler Perry, but a friend who saw it liked it so much she wants to go see it again if I'll go. So the fact that she's willing to see it again says a lot. Plus I love Kathy Bates, Robin Givens, and Alfre Woodard so I'd chance it just for them.
