Well, I'm not sure confuse

At first it seemed like a paranoid psychogenic episode. The kid didn't appear drunk. He didn't appear disheveled. And he was dressed as if he had just gotten off of work. Coupled with the fact the tone of the first part seemed like he was the only person not let 'in' on a scheme of sorts, and possibly being hunted or tracked...or avoided... It just seemed like that's what he was inflicted with.

but the dinosaur in the street had me thinking possibly the film was an allagory or metaphor for something else.

Then at the end when he took his own cap off and he woke up , wondered whether it was a dream sequence or a multiplersonality disorder type of thing. Then I wondered again if the film was metaphor.

Nice piece though, even if I'm to dumb to interpret it. lol

The actor has a nice ass for a skinny guy.

I distinctly recall several nights like this after one too many Zombies and/or Jaeger shots... right down to the dinosaur... dead

That was pretty cool nod...I'd interpret it as a guy coming down from a night of heavy drinking lol...but I also interpreted it as some sort of Twilight Zone-ish mind fuck, like if there were two alternate realities that somehow overlapped for about 20 minutes (maybe due to drugs or something, taken by both versions of the protagonist??...)...I also interpreted it as if the guy was the last person on earth, and he was having one of his regular breaks from reality as a way of dealing with the situation he's in...

hmph! boxed

The very first bit on the stairs maybe but after that it appeared more "paranoid" than drunk. Sort of like he was having some sort of 'episode'.
It actually plays into the films favor to keep us guessing though boxed

Perhaps if there was a camera angle as viewed from his eyes that blurs in and out as if he's trying to focus?

Either way, I really did enjoy it. I was just trying to read it like I would a David Lynch type of thing. boxed

that's cool, however you interpret it is how it reads, and its very interesting to hear your thoughts. I am uploading a sharp version in the next few hours, I'll re-post a link on here.

Works for me.

The whole thing plays like a dream sequence to me. I think he's lamenting the loss of childhood, or innocence. Near the beginning he seems to be caressing the photo (which I assume is meant to be his younger self holding a favourite toy), then as he looks at it, what turns out to be another version of him takes it away - childhood lost.

The shirt-and-tie-wearing him is scared of the world of jobs and responsibility (perhaps he made a fuck-up at work and doesn't know how to deal with it) and he wants the uncomplicated freedom and innocence of childhood back.

The other him - wearing the t-shirt and cap - represents his maturity, his ability to deal with the responsibilities of adult life, so he takes away the photo, the dream of childhood, the notion that one can hide away from one's responsibilities.

When he follows t-shirt-wearing him and the dinosaur appears, it is so incongruous and out of place that he realises there is no room for the warm fuzzy innocence of youth in the grown-up world of shirts and ties, cars and jobs.

As he opens the car door he (his desire to run from responsibility) disappears and he becomes t-shirt him. Still confused, he gets out of the car and realises that (shirt-and-tie him) his fear is gone.

The very last shot before it fades, you see him sigh with relief. He no longer needs to chase the dream of childhood innocence, whatever it is he needs to deal with he will be capable of facing up to it.

Then the film ends. Then he wakes up.

On the other hand, given the title, it could be just some pissed-up twat who has one Jägermeister too many and starts seeing things.

This is good stuff! Did you know that I put the pic of the child (himself) and toy dinosaur onto the white paper after we shot. Originally that was a blank rectangle of paper.
