Woman faints onto subway tracks, run over by three cars, emerges unscathed at 9:50 on September 17, 2008, EDT.
By THE CANADIAN PRESS TORONTO - A woman who was run over by three subway cars in Toronto Wednesday morning has emerged virtually unscathed. Toronto Transit Commission spokesman Danny Nicholson says the woman was taken to hospital to be checked, but her injuries are minor. He says she was lucky not to be contacted by the train or the electric rail after she fell at the Yonge and Bloor station. Nicholson says the train made its usual stop at the station, with a full three cars going over top of her. He says she was conscious when staff went to the scene and was speaking coherently to them. The incident closed down a large portion of the subway line for hours. ©The Canadian Press, 2008 There was definately an angel watching over her Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! how the hell do THREE cars pass over someone? wouldn't someone notice a body on the tracks after the first one? what, were they like "yeah, but it's rush hour and if we close down the subway now, people will be late for work. meanwhile, she's not going anywhere." wtf?! | |
