To truly appreciate the Star Wars phenomenon you had to be there when it all started... 1978 when that movie was first released I think I saw it it about 25-30 times in just a few months...

thank goodness the nerdtardation didn't stick too much...

Oh I hate Pulp Fiction but loved Reservoir Dogs and both Kill Bills. You aren't missing out on much not seeing them though. I do feel as if I'm missing seeing classics with the Godfather movies.

Weel, you would miss out this, not seeing "Kill Bill"love

Part IV, V & VI were classic, mainly because they were made in the 70's & 80's. I, II & III sucked donkey-ass (of which III was probably the best!)!

Out of the Episodes, I liked the second one, watching Yoda to flips n shit and whoop that ass was great entertainment.

The actor that plays Obi in the new episodes is hot, too

III was decent but mainly for the ending. The story was leading to a logical and predetermined ending. The momentum had already been there since 1977 and all Lucas had to do was not fuck up badly.

I think to some of us older fans he actually did. But that last part of III was really good, probably the best Star Wars moment since Empire.

Which one is my question...there are like ten of the bloody things lol

The first two that were released, Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, should be required viewing.

Even though that is true...i think Return of the Jedi is underrated. The last part of the dual between Luke and Vader is imo an epic scene. The music adds a lot to it too. I can understand the dislike for the ewoks, and i used to hate sitting through the whole jabba's palace setting, but why else does everyone dog this one?

Some of it is very good. I don't much like the Emperor, just not a very interesting character like Vadar is.

The biggest problem is that it is a re-hash, Luke fights Vadar (albeit with different results) and blowing up the Death Star is fairly unforgiveable.

The Ewoks were supposed to be Wookies, which would have been a much better choice.

Oh, i see. I agree about the emperor, nothing interesting about and old guy that sits around and barks orders.
A second death star was a lazy choice.
But i think luke had to fight vader again, how else could they end it?
The most i could see being different is adding leia into the mix, but that could've conflicted with storyline between her and han. but then again they already know they love eachother so maybe not
And i know they were supposed to be wookies, but i forgot why they changed

yeah I forget why he made changed wookies to ewoks.
And I can accept the fight between luke & Vadar. It felt very familiar, but it was pretty vital to the story.

With this, I agree. For myself being only 7 when seeing it for the first time, it was the greatest movie ever. As for the prequels, there was such a high expectation for those movies that they couldn't possibly live up to the hype. Hiring certain actors for certain parts certainly didn't help. But you ask a child what they thought of Episode I when it first screened before them, and they loved it just as much. The prequels are the saga for their generation that tried to please the older generation as well but just couldn't do it.
