Yeah, Jack was great. Cant decide whos best between Heath and Jack, but if i had to follow my heart i think its Ledger.

nod Me too.

Jack's Joker will always hold a special place in my Bat-loving lil heart because he's the first Joker I was introduced to and the one I grew up with, but Heath's is the closest live action interpretation we'll probably ever see of comic-book Joker. The only thing missing from Ledger's was the ambiguous gayness of the pen-and-ink Mistah J. razz

Mark Hamill should get props for his voicework in the animated series too though. Luke Skywalker made one hell of a Clown Prince.

lol
I actually have collage with collected hints on J´s sexuality, and that hes attracted to Bats.
He had chances killing him, but dont want too, cause who else should he play with?
I will try to upload the collage here on the org when i find it. wink

There's at least one of those floating around on the internet. The one I've seen includes a panel where the Joker is torturing Lex Luthor, and Luthor decides to mock him by pointing out that Batman will always like Catwoman better than the Joker, and that "he's never going to take you to the prom". Joker is pissed. lol

Is that the one you mean, or is there another one somewhere?

I don't buy the whole idea of Joker's not killing Bats only because he's too much fun. He could toy with anybody. DC's got a whole slew of uptight heroes the Joker could harass if he didn't have Batman. I think there's something else to it.

Is he?

Yes, he kills people in cold blood but is he definitely "psychotic"?

I think if you took away the murder, the makeup and Batman/police, you'd just have a very very smart man. Again, what's not to like?

I'd argue for sociopath, but not true psychosis. There's never been any evidence that he's actually crazy. He's just an incredibly smart man who seems to completely lack empathy or concern for distinctions of right and wrong.

Would that be because with true psychosis one still experiences feelings like shame, anger, guilt, and regret...? reading

A girl thats not attracted by Prince? You dont see that often lol

I used to be and he's aged extremely well but it's his attitude, mainly. He seems a very ugly individual on the inside.

I still wanna know what anti aging cream he uses though biggrin

I agree...Prince doesn't do it for me anymore. disbelief

nod

Psychopaths (or sociopaths) don't have disordered thinking in the way other people with mental disorders do. For all intents and purposes, they're normal in that regard. But they lack the ability to experience sympathy, empathy, guilt, etc. All the "higher" emotions that are supposed to link us to other humans. Even if a person like this really, truly, genuinely wanted to feel empathy for others, they'd be incapable of it.

The Joker, to me, seems more a psychopath than someone with, say, schizophrenia.

Yeah. nod The Joker seems to have sort of a twisted affection for Batman. Some readers interpret this as him being in love with the Bat, in his own weird sort of way.

nod Same here.

People who attract me in real life tend to be gentle, kind, occasionally silly individuals.

But onscreen? Self-absorbed killers and meanies. Go figure. lol

Like I said, if I ever came across a real person like The Joker, I'd shit myself and run the other way as fast as my lil legs could carry me. Even his less dangerous traits, like the childish attention demanding, I'd find annoying as fuck in a real person. But somehow on a fictional mass-killing clown, it's kind of endearing. razz
