I just started "Grindhouse"

It opened with the "trailer" for "Machete" I'm down for all 3 hour after that!

I for got to add, I've got a 12 of Tsing Tao, a 1.75 of Bacardi Mohito, 12 White Castle Burgers and 40 Pizza Rolls.

Problem is I promised not to drink 'cause I'm on a bunch of drugs. (legal)

This movie better be as awesome as the trailer cause I can't count on Alcohol.

I do have several Narcotics (also legal, but still somewhat fun) though...

I think the full version on demand has all the fake trailers.

The amount of testicles lost in the 1st 5 minutes is worth the price of admission.

eek

What do you mean you started it? Did you buy this on DVD??

Where I am you can only buy Planet Terror OR Death Proof, no fake trailers or commercials included. so how are you watching this?

PS - In theatre... awesome movie experience, sadly missed by just about everyone sad

I haven't seen it yet, but I have seen some of the fake ads - are they not on the DVDs?

Ok

Planet Terror was marginally entertaining.

Death Proof is tedious.

I retract my down-ness.

Planet Terror was.

Death Proof is the steaming pile of shit that follows it.

Tarantino managed to make a "bad" movie that was so bad, all the irony was lost. It was damn near unwatchable, but not in a fun way.

eek eek

I don't agree with this at all.... sad

I am a confessed uber-tarantino fan, but even still... I found this movie to be marvelous and immensely underrated. I think Kurt Russel's performance was one of his best to date, right up there with Big Trouble in Little China, the dialogue, while somewhat shallow, still remained cool and engrossing, and the final mind-blowing 25 minutes were just, well, incredible. And what a perfect ending.

His best, not by a long shot, but still great.

Alternatively, Planet Terror, like you, I felt to be mildly entertaining, but I've had no urge to see it again, unless it's in Grindhouse form.

I'm amazed how polarizing this movie is though. A lot of people seem to like Planet Terror OR Death Proof, I haven't seen a lot of people rave about both.

I LOVEEEE Grindhouse heart

I'm already a fan of Rodriguez and Tarentino, but I thought both movie were cool

Death Proof did have a bit TOO much dialouge, which made it seem longer, but the action sequences and the actresses (Rosario!) made up for it...Planet Terror was pure entertainment though, and I could watch it over and over.
If you will, so will I

I think everyone is in agreement that the fake trailers were the best part. Planet Terror was the better movie, but the chase in the second half of Death Proof was better than any scene in the former. It's too bad the extended dialogue in the first half of the film was so excruciating.

yeah, it felt like Deathproof was 2 different movies to me
but Tarentino loves a good witty conversation
