Hey there kids,

Been tracking this down all evening and got it confirmed. About 30 miles north of Toledo, a Clark gas station on the north side of Adrian, Mich., is selling a gallon of regular unleaded gas for $5.09US.

I checked around and this Adrian, Mich., gas station is the HIGHEST in the state of Michigan today AND the highest in the COUNTRY.

A mere mile south of this station a Meijer supercenter is selling gas for $1.10 cheaper, and a gas station a few blocks south of the Meijer is selling gas for $3.89 -- $1.20 cheaper.

Earlier in the week I paid $3.47 for a gallon.

Yeah, there's a place in Grand Ledge, and a place in Lansing that were over 5 dollars (I heard possibly at $6). I'm in Baltimore atm where prices range from 3.39 - 3.79

edit: from what I understand, it's only a few, rouge stations in MI that are jacking up the prices. Not the norm for these cities.

Well, Friday evening I was trying to track down where the high price was. Heard rumors that gas was selling for over $6 in Jackson, Mich., west of Ann Arbor.

But still, with a barrel of oil below $100 for the first time since April, we noticed there is a 50-cent increase in the pay at the pump.

On April 11 in Toledo average price was $3.29. Sept. 11's readings were at around $3.79.

4.85 a gallon here ( western NC ) last night - yesterday morning it was 3.71 a gallon

Unbelievable!!! I've heard the jacking is due to Ike.
