You get one shot at life. That alone should be motivation enough. If you have an idea of what you want to achieve then break it down into sub goals. Write it down, and check off each smaller goal you achieve along the way.

The fact that you feel and recognise yourself to 'a loser' tells me that you rightfully believe you are worth more and see the need for change. Thats a very positive start.. you just need to recognise it as that.

Books are a great way to get motivated and i dont mean those 'change your life' nonsense books. Who do you admire? Read about subjects and people you admire. How did they succeed? What obstacles did they face?

take responsibilty for your own life. never point fingers as to why you are not where you should be. Your life and the quality it is in rests soley with the individual.

Best of luck.

Start today.

GOOD advice!

Smart man, you.

But there isn't an answer. All you need is the right questions.
"Why am I stuck?"
"What's holding me back?"
"Where do I wanna go?"
"How am I going to accomplish this?"
"Whom's help do I need?"

Etc

And you seem to have good back up. So get it in gear.

Chile, you don't need nothin but a short jaunt over to Europe so you can get your Bohemian back on wink. Conversely, when I get caught in my ruts over here, I always find hopping the pond for a couple of days in Brooklyn and Harlem always set me straight again thumbs up!

So do I. Although I have education and a full time job in my field, I don't feel satisfied and have to decide what I want to do about it. I will hang on to it for another 2-3 years, but I don't know what else I enjoy and have to find out.

well you aren't a loser unless you aren't trying to grow in your life. If you are in fact trying to make a change into another direction in your life and putting all your energy into it everyday, then you can never be a loser.

You are only a loser if you don't have a backbone and let your mommy tell you how to live your life when you a grown man at 25 or older. Or when keep "talking" about where you want your life to be at instead of "being" about it.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

you need to come to the following bunch of my classes with me:

- thematic challenges in integrated media
- readings in contemporary arts
- image, object and narrative

nod .

lol

what i mean is, you need to immerse yourself in creative outlets and environments to really get going, and when it's not feasible, it can be hard to stay on track.
Write out your thoughts daily, bounce ideas off of people, create your own forum of types in order to realize the "cream filling", if you will.

i hope that helps, i'm concerned that you're beating yourself up over you creativity. hug

understood nod
it's hard keeping up with a full plate and then trying to do something outside of it all, for yourself and for art's sake.
Go to workshops, sit in on lectures, go to art shows, poetry readings ( nod ) talk to people about art (me!)

if you keep chewing the gum, eventually you'll get the flavour.

come on boo! get off this pity train
If there is something about yourself or your life that you are not happy with just ask yourself, "what am I doing to fix this?"

you can make any of your dreams come true, but you need drive, patience, and perseverance hug
If you will, so will I
