yes, I had lots from the Controversy magazine. One guy was in kentucky, his name was James I miss him the other is still in touch with me. we have communicated for 19 years and never met. Yeah, I had one. It was required to get a penpal when I took Spanish in 11th grade. We had to get one from a Spanish speaking country. We were given a penpal website to check out and I found a boy that was my age that was from Colombia and we ended up exchanging letters all of that year. It was fun

i was a total penpal whore when i was a kid. there was a show called "big blue marble" where you could be penpals with kids in other countries, so i did that and wrote back and forth a while with some kid in new zealand. then i remember signing up for some penpal thing from smash hits magazine and i wrote to some chick in london named hermione, which i thought was like the coolest thing in the world because i was just getting into bowie and i was writing letters to hermione.

When I was younger I did. Still wish I had one...since I seem to be one of the rare folks that enjoy writing letters instead of emailing. Proud Memaw to Seyhan Olivia Christine ,Zoey Cirilo Jaylee & Ellie Abigail Lillian

her name was Sara, and she lived in England. I found her through a George Michael penpal newsletter. It was neat cause we would send each other Christmas, and Birthday prsents. We wrote to each other for probably 3-4 years, and then we lost touch. She was trying to move to here (USA) though. Wonder if she made it. Severine Nadon from France when I was taking French classes in high school. We were penpals for at least 2 years, then I got hella depressed somewhere in there and stopped responding to her.

Yeah I did. In my 4th or 5th grade class we were assigned to penpals. Mine was a girl in China my same age. We wrote for about a year after I had finished that grade, then we lost touch. We exchanged pictures and everything. It was a good cultural experience. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yes. About 10 to 13 USA soldiers serving in VietNam.
Their photos & APO addresses appeared every week in "El Diario La Prensa". Ma use to ask "Nena are you starting your own platoon?" I still have one letter, from a guy nicknamed "Chipmunk". His siggy was a paw print. cue: "Magic Carpet Ride" I'll β₯οΈ "LemonDrop" 2DN π your "Sugar"

Yeah, on a whim I wrote to 3 people from the Controversy magazine.
Only 1 replied, and we wrote back & forth a few times. I still have a mix tape smewhere that she sent me. Then I sent her my picture and she stopped. I probably creeped her out. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Internet ones.
There was some website called kidspace or something and I met a few cool people on there. One in particular, a girl my age from India, we're great friends now. We haven't talked much since school got serious for both of us but a few years back we spoke on MSN at least once a week. She's a fantastic friend, I'd love to meet her one day.

Ex-Moderator | I had one from India when I was about 11 or so. We didn't last long, though. She didn't write me for a few months and then I got a letter saying she'd broken both of her legs in some kind of accident. Then she wasn't really able to keep up. |
