I notice though I don't follow it
I wear what is THE most comfortable leaning towards as natural fabric content as possible I don't care about "labels" - never really have I choose to invest my $ in different ways but see nothing wrong with others choices to spend how they wish either

Like summer follows spring. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Fashion is another form of art and just like the next form of art, I DO follow it

But following to an extent like sheep isn't art, I would say I will love you forever and you will never be forgotten - L.A.F.

Im a jeans, tee and tennis, or a good pair of heels type of gal. I wear what looks good and is comfortable. Labels are not important. But, I find that the more expensive shoes are worth the money. I cant wear a cheap shoe. Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize u simply imagined this So u lean over and give her a kiss Here on earth, here on earth, with u it's not so bad Here on earth, here on earth eye don't feel so sad Stay right here

I don't think following fashion precludes looking like an individual. I don't know anybody who copies a trend note for note. (I certainly don't.)
While I do follow fashion, I mainly use it to update what is, for the most part, a very classic wardrobe. I don't give a hang about designer labels. Most often, I make "trendier" items, myself. That way, they're one of a kind. I don't think you can get much more "individual" than that. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Ex-Moderator | No, it follows me.
I pay attention sometimes and sometimes I don't. I'll pick up super trendy pieces now and again and yet my look is always sort of the same as it has been for years. I appreciate designers (being surrounded by beautiful clothes such as in a boutique or store has been known to bring me to tears, I'm so moved), but can't afford it, and even if I could, I'm not sure I could justify the expense. All that said, I think I always look presentable and stylish. I've just mastered how to do that on a budget. |

Yes, I do follow fashion. I like to see what's new & "hip" for each season, then I take bits & pieces of it & adapt it to my own style. A lot of people don't understand that just because something is in style, it's not FOR THEM.
I'm not a "label whore". I am perfectly comfortable creating a "look" without flashing someone else's name around. I believe in just "doing me". I wore a dress yesterday that I got for $25; my coworkers- and some of the kids- complimented me throughout the day. I didn't say, "I'm wearing so-and-so", I just said "Thank U". It's not the label that counts- it's presentation. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

But following to an extent like sheep isn't art, I would say Au contraire Its just another shape of following the BEST in music, movies, books and all etcs of the good life. Nothing's wrong with following,,,,,unless it doesn't reflect your taste or personality. I'm not flip-flopin',,,,,yes I do love fashion, but unlike some people it adds to my substance, not take away from it.
