HOW WOULD YOU NOTICE SOMEONE'S PERSONALITY FIRST?

Are these men giving up their seats on the train to pregnant women or the elderly? Are they laying down their coats over puddles?

Personality.

Exactly!

Obviously, if he's butt ugly I might not be able to get past that, but the personality usually comes first with me. He has to have intelligence, compassion, respect for women and a job. Not at McDonalds either. He needs to be able to look after himself financially as look after a family too.

you interact with them .. some people do have witty senses of humor. and their words can jump out @ you more than their looks ..

looks are the first thing i notice, but if you don't have a brain to back it up with forget it! that's the most important. i fell-in love with my husband the first time i saw him! but as i got to know him for who he really is, i just was head over heels in-love!!! he's so smart.....and interesting! i never get tired of talking to him on all types of topics! love

Long story short, I ended up dating a guy who I was not physically attracted to because his mind blew me away. His intelligence and personality made him physically "hot" to me.

The question didn't say "notice first", it said "look for first"...as in it being a purposeful search and not just an instinctual reaction.

nod

he approached me and we started talking and even though he wasn't my "type" (i had a type back then) I was really attracted to him because of his personality and the way he treated me.

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.
