This picture has just been posted on Drudge Report. There are no details yet, just a headline : "A picture so tragic it defies description".

It does not look doctored, and I don't think Matt Drudge would use it if it wasn't legit. It does match the "spots" seen on MJ's nose a few months back, and that were said to be a light illusion.

No need to move this thread. This isn't about MJ the musician. This is about the danger of cosmetic surgery.

That is sad.

And, what is wrong with the surgeons to keep doing things to him? I understand a lot of it may have been corrective, but I don't think there is anything that can be done at this point.

It is beyond sad. Micheal Jackson is a modern tragedy. He was an handsome young man. A pervasive sense of inferiority made him believe that changing his face was empowering. Don't like your nose? Change it. Chin's a bit too broad? Perk it. And on and on until you have changed your face so much it starts making changes on its own, by decaying, drying, wrinkling, etc.

He will beat this somehow. At least I hope so.

It is definitely real. If it isn't, Matt Drudge will be terribly embarrassed. It will be a big blow to his credibility. I'm pretty sure he triple-checked it.

Skin grafts and, later on, maybe stem cell research could help him. The problem with skin grafts is that they often make your nose pretty big. My aunt had skin from her tigh grafted on her nose after she developed cancer. If the same could be done for MJ, he could actually be back to something that looks like his original nose. Hopefully.

It's not hard to figure that the more you cut a delicate part of your body like the nose, the more risk you run of having complications, drying, etc. Disrupt blood flow, and a part starts to harden. In his case, there's also all these other treatments on his face that could complicate an existing problem.

I laugh at some of the posts in threads about Michael here when it comes to his actions, and some of the things he has said (espcially recently), but to be honest I can't laugh at something like this. And you know what? Even without the spots on his nose I can't laugh at pictures of Michael like I once did when he had at least some semblance of his original face. And it seems like that was at least more than a decade ago. I, like you, consider Michael tragic from a psychological standpoint. A lot of us grew up on this guy and it's disheartening to see his physical metamorphosis.

I also saw a picture of a Black man yesterday who had taken liver pills...they turned him completely white, except for a mask-like portion of his face and ears, that picture was supposedly legit too.

Stuff like this takes the wind out of my sails.

Yeah, MJ was somewhere in a Santa Maria, California Superior Court today.

So that's where these pics are from.

They had on the local news all kinds of footage of him showing up and coming out of the limo with a mask on.

They also showed him in the courtroom without the mask and I noticed his face looked a little wierd.

I noticed he had facial hair and something up with his nose.

He was in court over a promoter not fulfilling a contract with MJ.

I think his nose can be fixed...I really hope so and do feel that.

The saddest thing is its affecting his voice too. He sounds congested all the time when he talks.

there was a tv show on here last night called "Michael Jackson's face".. i think it was a british show.. i only caught a bit of it(really tacky show) but it was pretty sad.. i know his nose is bad but his eyes really freak me too.. the guy just went too far

Having read the following report, I feel that it is his real face.

I think it's the result of skin grafting... he needed more skin on his nose 2 cover a hole that has been reported at the tip of his nose.

He took off his surgical mask during the trial 2 answer questions. I doubt he realized that he was being photographed.

If it's in fact, real, than we can only assume that his future looks without the "extra skin" will be more socially acceptable.

In any case, I still gotta give my man props 4 a wonderful voice and the strength 2 continue on, in public, as the very public figure that he is, with what looks like some horrible decisions he made regarding his face.

Michael... just make some music.

Jacko Gives HIStory in Trial

Okay, so it's not exactly the courtroom thriller of the century, but Michael Jackson and his minions descended on a California courthouse as a $21 million concert-scuttling lawsuit against him got into full swing Wednesday.


Dozens of Jacko faithful, clad in Michael tees and waving "Free Michael" pickets, thronged the courthouse in Santa Maria, a few miles from Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara County. Jackson was shuttled to the courthouse in a black stretch SUV, acommpanied by a police escort. His arrival stirred fans into a frenzy.


Accessorizing with a surgical mask and black eyeliner (he apparently left the glove and Sgt. Pepper getup back at the ranch), Jackson moonwalked to the witness stand to defend himself against charges from his longtime promoter that he backed out of two heavily hyped Y2K shows, costing said promoter tens of millions of dollars.


Doffing the mask to take his oath, Jackson gave mostly short answers to the questions (he was called as a hostile witness, so he made judicious use of his "yesses" and "nos").


Earlier, Munich-based promoter Marcel Avram took the stand to give his side of the case--in a nutshell: Jackson flaked, leaving Avram high and dry.


Avram says his company, Mama Concerts & Rau, inked a deal with Jackson on January 14, 1999. Jackson, says Avram, agreed to play four concerts over the course of the year for which the singer was to be paid $15 million. Jackson received $1 million upfront.


The first two shows--billed as Michael Jackson (news) & Friends--took place in June of 1999 in Seoul and Munich and featured Mariah Carey and other performers, with all proceeds going to charity.


The highlight, however, would have been the two so-called Millennium Concerts. Jackson would do two shows on December 31, 1999, straddling the International Date Line. The first would take place in Sydney; Jackson would then jet to Honolulu for the second.


But, Avram alleges, the self-proclaimed King of Pop beat it, pulling the plug on the New Year's gigs in October of '99, citing prior recording commitments.


"I was shocked," Avram testified Wednesday, per Reuters. "I said, 'Listen guys, I worked this entire year. I advanced all the money.' " Avram said he was stuck with $10 million in debt from promoting and producing the first two shows (after all, the profits went to charity), and was unable to recoup those costs with the estimated $10 million in profit he would bank from the New Year's shows. Additionally, Avram said he's owed another $1.2 million for various bills incurred by Jackson (he's a "flamboyant spending" machine, according to suit, which was filed in 2000).

In his opening statement Tuesday, Jackson's attorney, Zia Modabber, claimed it was Avram who pulled the plug on the concerts, asking Jackson to delay the shows for a year because of slow ticket sales.

"He could not live up to the huge promises he made to Mr. Jackson," Modabber said, according to the Associated Press.

Avram, 64, is no stranger to Jackson's allegedly Bad business behavior, having put together several of the Moonwalker's tours in the '90s. Avram even sued Jackson once before, filing a $20 million complaint after the singer called off his Dangerous tour in 1993. That case was settled out of court. (Avram himself isn't exactly an angel--in 1997, he did a stint behind bars on tax-evasion charges, with Jackson one of the few clients who visited.)

The case could go to the eight-woman, four-man jury by Thursday afternoon.

Michael Jackson is the personification of what self-hatred looks like when taken to its fullest extent. Hatred of the black self, of the male self, of the father/mother that made him... and defeatist submission to the society that promoted aesthetic ideals that were foreign to his ORIGINAL person.

I've made my share of MJ jokes but after seeing this, I'll say a prayer for the man.

I used to say all the time and now I say more than ever, if I were MJ I would wake up every day, look into the mirror, and break down in tears.
