Attempt at what? Making a thread that might be interesting?

I believe the other thread was locked due to dumbfuckery.
Then again, they weren't all locked, so who knows. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

One fucking time and the guy offered to sell me drugs! I said I wasn't interested, and he said "oh just let me out anywhere, then."
Never again. My Legacy

How is that dumb? Maybe it's true...maybe not. But it's certainly no reason to lock a thread or start being a troll yourself by just baiting the guy.

I've not picked up a hitchhiker per se, but when we were in our late teens an ex-boyfriend and I used to take homeless people (that we kind of knew) to places they needed to go in downtown Detroit.

I've never picked one up and I've never hitch-hiked, but I was offered a ride once when my car had broken down and I accepted it.
I broke down on the freeway and this was before everyone and their borther had a cell phone. I had walked to the top of the nearest exit ramp, but there wasn't a gas station or anything around in the immediate area. A couple pulled over, car seat in back (though no kids) and offered to give me a ride. They brought me right back to their house and let me use the phone. In fact, they'd hosted a baby shower that afternoon and had tons of leftover food they kept offering me, but that I declined. |

I had a similar experience - car died on the freeway in a really bad neighborhood. I had to walk to the nearest ramp and there were no businesses around - just boarded up buildings. Thank God a "courtesy patrol" guy pulled up - he let me use his phone and wait in his van until my friend came and got me. This is the courtesy patrol Web page...do you guys have anything like this? http://www.michigan.gov/m...--,00.html

MY post was dripping with sarcasm. Hence the well placed italics. All the heckling is SO 2003. Once you are here long enough, you just ignore them. Both sides of the heckling, btw. The reactors are sometimes as bad in reacting as the troll. Lalala. Hitchhiker was a kewl movie with Rutger Hauer. He was a baaaaad person in that movie.

I don't drive, so no. But my mother picks up hitchhikers all the time. She says it's a dying art in North America, and people need to be places, so why not? "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
