Just heard this on 1050-ESPN radio. Devastating loss for the Pats.

That hit was on purpose. I hate dirty players.

I was thinking the same thing. Not that football isn't dangerous when it's played right, but that hit looked like it couldn't do anything but fuck up a knee.

Thank you. I thought so too. Players have been wanting to take out Brady for a long time because he's good and he wins games. Grow up and play like real men, not dirty shit bags.

We still have spectacular running backs and I don't think we'll do that bad. We definitely won't be making it to the superbowl but I'm confident Brady will be back next season better than ever. Maybe the Jets will go all the way with Favre...he deserves to win a superbowl! Unless someone takes him out too neutral

GO GIANTS!!!!!

Let's stop crying for Brady. Sh!t, injuries are part of the game, just deal with it(like the Giants with Osi). Tom will be just fine - he'll have more time to bang Gisele. Yeah, that's a bad life.

Some are saying it was a dirty play. I haven't seen it yet, but was it as bad as the hit the Steelers put on Carson Palmer?

His loss mean's the AFC is WIDE open. With the Colts & Chargers losing, the AFC playoff race will be sick! Jets and Bills fans shouldn't get too confident. Pats will miss Brady, but they still have skill players and Belicheat as coach.

And nowhere in that post was I crying! In other ones, maybe...but not that one!

I'm not crying. I just don't have any respect 4 players that do dirty shit like this. U never know when a player is playing his last down. Careers are short in the league and that dirty shit is weak.

Guess Brady will be on "camera" duty for Belichick for the rest of the season.

A. He already did.
B. He lost another one, breaking the NFC's streak of complete dominance in the big game.
C. After what he did to the Packers, I don't think he deserves anything.
D. OTOH, he's my fantasy starting QB with Brady out, so it'd be nice if he put up big numbers. lol

BTW, I don't think the hit was dirty at all. It reminded me a lot of the play that took out Carson Palmer in the playoffs against Pittsburgh a couple of years ago. You're on your knees, but still trying to get to the QB any way you can.

I guess we just have different definitions of "dirty" play.

I remember Madden talking about a similar hit. He said it's a legal hit, he just doesn't understand why. If you love football, it seems like you'd want to protect the players as well as possible so the level of competition is at it's best. Knees just aren't meant to be hit like that, and it sucks to have to lose great players for silly reasons like that.

If I was a player, I'd rather try to beat the Pats WITH Brady than to have people say "well, if Tom was healthy they wouldn't have won!"

It's like winning a golf tournament right now. Yes it's nice, but with no Tiger, it seems like a little less of an achievement.

Injuries are part of the game, but it would be nice to reduce them, too.

I guess so. U don't accidentally hit a player in the knee or the head.

Sure you do. He was on the ground and the running back was trying to hold him down. He sees Brady (still holding the ball) step up in the pocket and he tried to sack him. I don't believe for one second that he was trying to injure him. In fact, it's clear he's trying to wrap up his leg, but his helmet landing right on Brady's knee.

Accidents happen. Carson's may have been an accident but that hit yesterday was on purpose.

That was NOT a dirty play in the least...remember that these are 300 lb men going at full speed. I've seen cheap shots, plenty of them, this isn't one of them.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Not surprisingly, we disagree. It's clear as day to me the man tried to get to Brady to wrap up his left leg.
