NFL: Tom Brady Done for the Year with Torn ACL

Just heard this on 1050-ESPN radio. Devastating loss for the Pats.

We better assemble a support team to send to CarrieLee in Rhode Island... She's going to be devastated!!!

I just can't see her getting moist over Matt Cassel or Chris Simms, who will be in N.E. for a look this week.

Karma.

Cheaters never really win.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Yes, I'm very upset but ready willing and able to nurse Tommy back to health when Giselle leaves him.

Cassel is hot too, btw. Not AS hot...but hot.

I suppose this will put Carrie in mourning. I am so glad she will still have Cassel, he is hot too!

As I never know what ya'll talking about, I googled him.

I kinda feel sad for the girl on the right. Doesn't Matt know the not-so-pretty ones are more eager?

That's Matt Leinart.

This is Matt Cassel:

I also heard the names Daunte Culpepper and Joey Harrington mentioned as possible backups.

Thank you. I thought so too. Players have been wanting to take out Brady for a long time because he's good and he wins games. Grow up and play like real men, not dirty shit bags.

We still have spectacular running backs and I don't think we'll do that bad. We definitely won't be making it to the superbowl but I'm confident Brady will be back next season better than ever. Maybe the Jets will go all the way with Favre...he deserves to win a superbowl! Unless someone takes him out too neutral

Hate to say this, but I am not sad about this. Sure, I want Brady to be ok, but one season without them in the playoffs can only help the overall zen of my beloved sport, and my hapless Bengals.

I hate to see players get hurt particularly done for the season.
I don't think that was a dirty play at all. The KC defender was being
engaged by an pats offensive lineman and the momentum swung him into
brady. I hate the pats but i want to beat them with their best players
on the field. However; brady and belichick are assholes.

Belichick is hard to like, agreed. But why the hate on Brady? I think he's a humble QB...I think people hate him because he's hot and he's one of the best QB's out there prior to the injury of course. Dude didn't even ask for more money that he could have gotten. I think he's a great team player and all the hate is out of pure jealousy.

Exactly. No way that was an intentionally dirty play. Dude was standing straight up with the ball in his hands. What else do you expect a defensive player to do, NOT hit him? rolleyes What's killing me is how everyone is going on about how much this one player means to the NFL, as if we should call it a day and cancel the rest of the year just cuz the "golden boy" got hurt. Puh-lease! rolleyes

He was the heart of the Patriots, of course it's going to be a big deal. And not to mention one of the best QB's...come on. It would be the same big deal if it was Favre, Romo or Manning.

Hummm.....I played football for 20 plus years. When u hit a standing QB below the thigh and above his ankle, that shit is on purpose PERIOD. Unless u are falling into the guy which was not the case on this play.

I can understand why it's a big deal to the Patriots but last night EVERY sportscaster was going on and on about how devastating this is for the WHOLE league and why this is going cast a shadow over the WHOLE season. rolleyes Again, puh-lease. One player is not bigger than the whole league. It ain't that serious. Marquee players get hurt every season and I've never seen grown ass men carry on so. Today, every sports channel is on Brady watch awaiting the results of the MRI. It just seems a bit extra IMO.

Well, how come none of the men on TV who've played football for years are calling a dirty play 'cept for crazy ass Randy Moss? hmmm Even the other Patriots players have publically said it was not dirty and they were there.

So, by your rationale he shoulda just let Brady stand in the pocket with the ball and complete his pass unchallenged??? Uh, yeah, right.

He won three superbowls in 4 years, he is a big deal. Sorry if you don't like him, but like I said the same thing would be going on if it were Favre, Romo or Manning. Deal!

First of all you talking like a true Brady homer. Yes he is a great qb but he is a spoiled brat. Look at the games last year when calls went against his offense he could be seen yelling at the refs like he owns the damn football field. Remember after spygate came out, the coach and the players which includes brady made it a point to show everybody in the league up by running up the score on teams and talking trash about it. Then he had nothing to say when the giants handed him his ass in the super bowl. And he laughed when plaxico burress said they would win the game 21-17 and he felt he disrespected the mighty patriots by saying he predicted we would only score 17. Well he was half right because the patsies only got 14. Hell i'm not jealous of brady, i got big ben as my qb and he has a super bowl ring and he is sure to win another before it's all said and done. Oh and yes the league will go on this season without brady and it would have also if favre chose to stay retired.

I don't see the big deal with any team running up the score. What are you suppose to do, just sit back and not make plays? Whatever! Sorry if the other team sucks, not our fault!

I can't stand punk ass Brady but that has nothing to do with my comments over how extra the coverage or his presumed impact on the ENTIRE league is. There's NO way that it would be to this level, if it was any of those QBs. Not saying that there wouldn't be concern or press coverage but the wailing and gnashing of teeth that's going on right now and there's STILL no confirmation of what's wrong wouldn't even be on this pitch. Fact.

The politics of dancing. As a rule, that is a NO-NO. Talk 2 those same guys off the air.....100% different story. It was a dirty play, but FOOTBALL is a dirty game.
