I Was An Extra for Drew Barrymore's Directorial Debut "Whip It"

That is, if anyone cared to know. It was sort of a drag after about 7 hours passed. I want my fucking money! 14 Hours Total on the set. I was so close to Ellen Page for about five or six times, all throughout the set. She's really short. Drew is also surprisingly really short (And man, she's lost some weight. She should slightly put some back on.). I saw "Eve" (The Rapper). Jimmy Fallon hugged everybody (Except for moi. I don't think I was around.). The veteran "Juliette Lewis" was also there. It was kind of cool because she was right in my face quite a few times. But after awhile, you get used to the faces and you're just like "Eh, it's all a fuckin' jawb! Just another day in Hollywood (Figuratively, I suppose.)! Just showbusiness!"

I felt like I blended in with that environment for just a smidgen. I felt like I sort of had to step out of my element. I'm a big mark for Ms. Page. But after awhile, not even she could induce me to have the urge of staying around the set. It was exhausting. And here I was contemplating getting into some sort of theatrical field/film work. Maybe I'll never know what the fuck I really want in life. It's all one big clusterfuck of a conundrum. Well, that'll be all. I'm sure this will all pass. Bored out of my freakish mind. Read all about it....with much caution.

I am so glad you respect people, even though they are lesbians. I got hope for humankind now. Thank you! Thank you!

A little sensitive, are we? Every time I mention the girl someone comes around and tell me she's not attracted to men. The point I was trying to make was that, speculation on her sexuality aside, she's a promising actor. Don't get so sentimental! Reassuring....pfft. neutral

I think it's kinda of like an oxymoron. It's like saying "Even if he's a faggot, I still have respect for him."

Do you kind of get why some people might be offended by that comment?

Yeah, it sucks to be an extra. I was one on the horrible movie MAD CITY. It had a brilliant cast but it wasn't that great.

2 days of "hurry up and wait." AND it was freezing. 4PM- TO 4AM shift.

I got about $150.

I definitely see where both of you guys are coming from. But believe me when I say that I meant no harm. I'm sorry if I came off as stand-offish. I don't know. I can be a misconstrued socialite perpetrator within this jaded circle of hostile dialogue. I meant no harm. I apologize if I've offended others. As a matter of fact, I'll take that part down from my first post of this thread.

horatio

most tv/movie people are 'short' because they need to fit the cameras frame and the surroundings in a certain manner.
