I haven't seen that many butterflies this summer, if I've seen a dozen I'm lucky. I remember when I was young, butterflies were abundant. We also had a praying mantis about 2 weeks ago hanging around the outside of our house. I took a picture of it. A few months ago I saw a baby praying mantis on my car windshield, it was only an inch high but kind of cute.

Cool! I was walking to my car a few weeks back, and happened to look up at the window of the people who live across the hall from me. There was a praying mantis sitting on one of their screens. lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
