Ok, I know I'm being silly here, and not thinking clearly but I just need to hear it from someone else...

I have been offered a position here in Sydney but way out of the city. I'm not completely happy with that idea, and I have a friend who said to me 'don't take it, you can get one in the city. hold out'

the other thing is, I want to move to melbourne... now, normally I would think 'ok give it a go in Sydney see what happens' but the thing is I will be staring a course in January for a year and a half wherever I am and will be there for at least a few years.

So my question is this... would you take a giant leap and go for it knowing it's now or never (well, at least a few years) to make the move, or would you play it safe?

reaaaaally, really appreciate some other opinions on this right now...

Where are you taking your course?? If it's in Sydney, can you wait and finish before moving to Melbourne?? Or can you transfer to the same course, move and take it in Melbourne? Can you take the course over the internet??

I've taken jobs in other cities here in Holland and even went out of my way and emigrate. I have found I always make the same mistakes, no matter where I am and if I am make a mess, I rather have loved ones around.

But then again, it depends on the job. I'd move out of Amsterdam if the job is great, not if it is somethingg I could find here in Amsterdam as well and be happy amongst friends.

hey hon, the good thing is the course is offered all around Australia so there's no worries about that... yes I could wait and move to Melbourne but it wouldn't be for another few years by the time I've finished the course and then had at least a year and a half experience in the industry. yes I could take the course over the net too but it's astronomical in price and takes 2 years

You got to look through what people say and what you tell yourself and strengthen yourself with all the good advice, but still make a decision based on what is GOOD for you. Hard stuff to do, when you are restless and impatient for change. Don't forget to breathe!
