What's with the hippie theme? Where's CalhounSq? I remember her talking about how Mr. Jay needs a new hairstyle. Well, he finally changed it. Same color, but it's not spiked.

I know! Sometimes Tyra seems suprisingly smart...however at other times she seems like a total airhead. Although, she is very good at her craft.

I would no longer watch the show but it has become a family ritual and I rarely agree with her pics for ANTM. Also, I always see her "winners" (even the ones that I think could be top model models like Jasleene) working for Metrostyle catalog. When I was a model I did Metrostyle catalog type stuff. So, I would've expected much better opportunities for the shows winners.

My initial picks were based solely on the promo photos as AnckSuNamun posted. After having watched the first episode, I still like Elina best (although I detect she takes herself far too seriously for anyone to tolerate her long), but my other favorites have become Isis and Marjorie. Sheena and McKey seem like cool girls, too, but so far they don't give me "haute couture model."

There was a plus-sized girl named Lindsey who almost made the cut. And the judges actually brought up how she looked EXACTLY like Whitney. She didn't make the final 14, though, perhaps in part because while she was too big to be a standard-sized model, she was too small to be true plus-sized model.

ooh, i was wondering if someone had made a new antm thread...i just got back into watching it again after taking a break over the last 2 cycles. watched the season premiere outta boredom, and got sucked back in...

they sent ol' girl home the other night. i called her "mani jr." and i'm surprised they sent the usual damn-near-tyra-lookalike home so soon, they usually keep the tyra clones around a bit longer. sista did talk a lot...they were ending the show and i was like "shut up!"

Brittany was gorgeous, but I guess in the fashion industry didn't appeal to "high fashion". I'll never get the fashion/modeling industry, but at the same time, I'm fascinated by it.


Elina of all people had the hardest time with her makeover. She's been annoying the hell out of me with her "I'm so unique, but I'm really like 50 million other girls out there, trying to be like Angelina Jolie" attitude. I think she looks good with red hair.

Samantha's haircut works really well for her.



Sheena's picture was nice as well.


I wish the theme would've been a little more creative rather than a Sports Illustrated shoot.
