Our trip to Chicago for the final Prince Night party at Berlin was bittersweet but loads of fun. We had a big Leo birthday house party a couple of weekends ago that was a hoot and a holler. Lots of fun this summer. Lots and lots! It overwhelms me to try to pick a favorite moment!

i don't expect him to do much, but i do expect his election into the white house to be a shot in the arm to folks who think america has lost the plot. i'm not naive enough to think he's going to bring a fresh breath of integrity into the oval office, but i do think his election will raise a lot of people's morale, and it will bring us out of the funk of two terms of the bush administration. so i'm not so much excited about what obama will do as i am excited about what his presidency will mean to us.
