Man, what a performance by Morales! I knew that he would win the fight but I had no idea that he would put on such a great fight. After his most recent performance against Injin Chi, I thought that Morales had lost some of his considerable skill. His performance against Ayala tonight was nothing short of spectacular and was certainly his best performance since his first fight with Marco Antonio Barrera. Ayala tried his hardest but even his cleanest, hardest punches did not phase Morales who walked right through them and countered beautifully.

Another area where Morales was brilliant tonight was defense. He showed amazing head and upper-body movement... in fact, he showed the best defense that I have ever seen in one of his fights. I think he looked better in this performance than Barrera looked in his lop-sided victory over Johnny Tapia.

when did Erik Morales start boxing? damn...i havent seen him in a movie since he played LaBamba's brother...the boy is fine!!
