is it just me or friends was the exact same show? which one came out first? They actually ripped off Living Single. I heard Queen Latifah say in an interview that the original title of LS was Friends and that the pilot was shopped to NBC who passed but developed their own white version. She made some other comparisons to Friends showing the connection but I forgot what they were. I really enjoyed the show and I still watch it on the Oxygen network. [Edited 8/30/08 15:42pm]

When I was home on medical leave back in March, I watched it on Thursdays when they did that 4 or 5 in a row... I wish it was on everyday! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I loved that show! I was actually just talking about a couple of days ago with my sister. I use to laugh when Kyle, and Maxine would get into their spats, their was always a little of a sexual tension between those two though. They hated each each, but wanted each other. The CeCe episode was hilarious! Especially when CeCe said "But you can't sing" to Regine! nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

I loved that show.
I never got into Friends. Just couldn't care about any of the characters. They were all rather vapid and...well...not very funny. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

This show was and still is a great show!! They had a good run, but I wish it had lasted longer. I didn't care for Friends at all and Livin Single was definately better. "Bring friends, bring your children and bring foot spray 'cause it's gon' be funky." ~ Prince

Then while the credits were rolling they all piled up on the couch trynta get next to Aresenio. Kim Coles was always too funny with her troll lovin' sef. [Edited 8/30/08 20:12pm]

I didn't know about the NBC connection but I always said that Friends was a rip-off of LS.
Living Single was one of the best shows at that time. I always cracked up. I could never understand why it was largely overlooked...other than the fact that it was a "black" show of course. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!
