Taking some extra time off from work next week! woot!

*Passed on the camping trip w/friends (no running water just doesn't cut it for me sad)
*I'm freaking out--in a good way--over my new $700 vacuum cleaner, using it like crazy. I'm now officially old, buying shit like that! sigh
*Plan to keep painting, the first floor is finished, hope to get the stairway and part of the 2nd floor done!
*Calling family, friends
*Spoiling my babies (my two cats, SassyBritches and IttyBitty)
*Reading
*Watching my Netflix movies, "Blame it on Fidel" and "Private Fears in Public Places"
*Naps! Nice naps with beautiful-strange dreams

Hardcore marketing for upcoming work projects.

Attended church, then a flea market where I snagged 2 Biedermeyer pieces on the cheap. After that I attended a pan-African culture festival: Damn, was the food delicious, and the drummers kicked major ass!

Now I'm about to care for my orchids and enjoy reading on my terrace...but haven't decided if that requires a pot of tea or a glass of wine butterfly sun butterfly

Yesterday I went to my friend's hurricane/birthday party. party

Today I just got back from school where I was scoping out a place to crash during the storm. Now I'm about to pack up, make some food for the next two days, and bring in my outdoor plants. confused I'm also watching the Weather Channel's projections of "worst case scenarios" confused confused

Tomorrow I'm going to leave for school around 4:30-5am and ride out the storm by helping in the small animal ICU and whatnot. School is only open for emergencies during the storm and I'm on call anyway so I'll probably stay there all day and night on Tuesday as well. We'll see.
