 And I was right...it did terrible things to my father's face especially, and he looked very different than the father I knew for so many years.
I don't mean to add sadness to this thread, but I cannot help but share this with you - in case anyone you love one day has to take this medication. My dad's Rheumatoid arthritis eventually took his life.

I grew up watching Jerry and love him!!! When I first saw this picture a few months a go I just cried because he is one of my favorites. He didn't have the same happiness he had when I grew up. I can't imagine how hard it had to be for you Lav because the Jerry thing was hard for me and he wasn't even my father. (((lav)))

Jerry is doing Learning Annex seminars in california this month. Tuesday, 11/19 he will be in San Diego, Thursady 11/21 in San Francisco and Friday 11/22 in Los Angeles.
He was originally scheduled for dates in August, but had to postpone. Check out www.learningannex.com if you are interested. | |

After viewing this picture, I felt compelled 2 add my  .
My lovely niece, Lily, has Lupus. A horrible disease that affects her immunity system and attacks her internal organs. She 2 is on Prednisone and has now acquired this "moon face" appearance. She was very beautiful prior 2 this disease, almost "modelesque"... and her new appearance has added a sense of depression 2 her already big list of emotional baggage. Still, she ventures out in2 town, doing her motherly and wifely routines without reaction 2 the people who haven't seen her in awhile, and wonder how she "let herself go". She does not feel the need 2 stop and explain 2 them or anyone else what she's going thru, because if they were really her friends, they would have known by now about her condition anyway. She has embraced life a little more boldly now, and does not take 4 granted things u and I do without hesitation. I send 2 Jerry Lewis my most sincere prayers, and best wishes... it's horrible that he has these medical conditions that he's forced 2 deal with. It's beyond horrible that he's forced 2 deal with them in a public forum as well. |
