Right now I am downloading torrents on Azureus(Vuze) and for some reason the process is exceptionally slow and I think the problem lies in my firewall/router/NAT settings!! Well, I have turned my firewall off, but also I am having difficulty in my port settings and 2 b honest, I havent really got a clue what I am doing as I would really love the downloads 2 go faster and also 2 open up for more seeders and direct connectivity!!

Can anyone help me with this?? Thanks!!!

Depends on your xDSL settings and how that is being throttled, you may be running QoS depending on how the router/firewall is configured and then of course there are you OS security settings but most of all i think that it is down to God punishing you for illegal downloading

How is the legal situation in this case ? I mean, can you just go there and download stuff without getting busted for it ? I´m asking because the law is a bit strict over here, one elderly citizen was ordered to pay a huge sum of money just because some teenagers used his w-lan line without him knowing about it and yet HE is to pay because they downloaded stuff using his connection.
So, how does this torrent thingy work ? Is it easy ? Is it safe ? Never used it.
