Does Simon have that accent now?...I have watched American Idol maybe 3 times, total lol...but I don't remember noticing his accent very much. | |

erm.....he's a Brit..... I know lol ...But it's not too unusual for a Brit in the entertainment industry to "lose the accent" if they know they're playing to American audiences. Americans with regional dialects often do the same when they are trying to make their way into show bidniz (that southern or New Yawk accent suddenly evaporates)...
I just wondered if Simon minimized his Brittish accent, but really wouldn't know because he might sound exactly like he does here. It's just that it's never jumped out at me like it did during this video so I wondered... | |

I got the same. yeah...my Massachusetts accent is in full effect when i'm at home but it's pretty much diminished when i'm elsewhere. I don't do it consciously...it just kind of happens. | |
