fig newtons, man...i mean, seriously. 
look, i'm not even eating the name brand fig newtons and i'm in serious  - and i'm not stoned!
these things are just the awesomest. whoever invented them was a great person, i don't care if they were mean in real life. these damn cookies give them a pass in my book. isn't it time we showed some love to the legendary relative of wayne, juice and sir isaac? YES, i say. | |

Yeah, I find them gross. When I was young, I used to have to go to my grandparents house afterschool until my parents got off work and could pick me up. My grandpa loved fig newtons. We would have dinner promptly at 5pm, while watching Judge Wapner and The People's Court, and then fig newtons for dessert. Yuck. | |

MOCHA MOUSSE
18 fig Newtons 1 c. evaporated milk 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. coffee 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. vanilla 1 pt. heavy cream or 8 oz. Cool Whip 1 c. toasted nuts 1 qt. chocolate ice cream In a saucepan add the following: crumbled fig Newtons, 1 cup evaporated milk, sugar and coffee; mix well and stir while heating and cook about 5 minutes. Remove from heat adding cinnamon and vanilla. Refrigerate and after cooling, add whipped cream or Cool Whip, toasted nuts and softened ice cream. Pour into mold or parfait glasses and freeze. This is an original recipe.
