So, I've fallen in love with this play. I'm in the play here at our local community theatre. I've never heard of it until I was asked to portray The Priest.

We've been practicing/rehearsing since July, and open September 12th. I've been so busy with work, kids, theatre... I've hardly had time for The Org, that I've not been here much. (squeezed in a vacation or two during the summer as well!) Anyway, kinda sorta wanted to explain my absence and to let you know what I'm up to. Do any of you partake in acting in community theatre?

you want some amazing musical? watch "passing strange" when it comes out. spike lee filmed it live, and i saw it FIVE times and cried every time. was even at the final performance which spike filmed.

it's fucking AMAZING.

I'll check it out. However, having been reading this, rereading this, singing in it, acting in it, listening to the soundtrack day in, day out, etc... for the last six to eight weeks... I think it's grown on me like no other production I've been involved with. I think that's what makes me feel for it the way I do.

Still... it's not gonna knock the socks off of everybody. I do love it though.
