I think she would benefit from gaining a few pounds. Everytime I see her she looks gaunt and her veins are popping out all over the place. Since rumor has it that she's using artificial means to try to look young, I think it would make her look younger to add 5 or 10 lbs. She'd still be thin, just not sickly looking.

Her face is fucked, people!. Her body's not skinny. Maybe a little too muscular (Is there really a such thing, as it pertains to health?), but not emaciated. It's just her face that looks sunken in. And here I see people saying they hope to look as "GOOD" as Madonna when they turn 50 Years Old! NO, PEOPLE!!! Aim higher. Don't lower you expectations to having the signs of age as apparent as Madonna's facial features. She looks like she just woke up from Ground Zero, accompanied by a fluctuating fiery and icy hell. In the end, it's a very candid shot. She has looked better. But that's just thanks to the heavy appliance of make-up she has come to be accustomed to. But, really! I mean, REALLY!!!! If you all want to look like "THAT" @ 50 (Plastic Surgery gone to shitz!), then that's your choice. This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

[Edited 8/24/08 14:39pm] Her face ain't that bad for a woman her age, not even on that picture, but her arm is so ugly. With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I do not know if she is too thin, but I do wonder if she has arthritis or if she is at risk for osteoporosis? I just wonder because she is 50, and she has this small skeletal structure, plus she is on the thin side.
I know she works out, but she really amazes me that she doesn't appear to have any wear and tear injuries--like a lot of dancers her age would have.

Jesus...celebs get ragged on if they leave their wrinkles be and they get ragged on if they do something about it. Just get over it. Stop victimizing them. I'm not complaining, anyway. It sounds like the people in denial are a little over-protective or hold some sort of complex. In the end, she's doing great for herself ("OBVIOUSLY", I mean that's an understatement if I ever heard one.). But she's not perfect. It's great to see someone who is of high stature, is highly exalted, and of great critical/aficionado acclamation with overt flaws (Even if some of which are due to their wishes of pandering with their face, thus rendering the whole physical outlook rather daunting and redundant.). I'm just being honest. She doesn't look....comfortable. *Clears Throat* What do I know, though? This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

Or we just don't see the point in unnecessary criticism... In the end, she's doing great for herself ("OBVIOUSLY", I mean that's an understatement if I ever heard one.). But she's not perfect.
No one is. No one is saying she is perfect. We're telling people to STFU and stop acting like she SHOULD be perfect. It's great to see someone who is of high stature, is highly exalted, and of great critical/aficionado acclamation with overt flaws
Overt flaws? Again, enough with the criticism. The woman's achieved more than most of us ever will and all we can focus on is whether she's pretty enough. I don't think she or her fans give a fuck what the rest of us think. No one here can tell me that if they had the money and means to have surgery in an instant that they wouldn't fix something up.

I honestly don't think I would mess with my face. I never said that she needed to impress me. I just find it funny that if we're making positive comments about this woman (Or any other celebrity, for that matter.) that we aren't approached in the same way. It might as well be treated with the same respect in all accounts; negative or positive. The whole "Laissez-faire" policy is just a little bit nitpicking, in all honesty. We might as well not be able to compliment her on her many achievements (As I have, many times before.) if we can't point out the flaws. But, once again, in the end of the day, it proves nothing. This whole subject and all out mini-controverted debate on a celebrity whose status is eons ahead of ours is inevitably bound as purely subjective. None of us will benefit to the sheer cop-out and conformity of a blanket-like agreeableness. None of us should feel grated, if otherwise. I'm just saying. Let's not feel so obliged to be politically correct. [Edited 8/24/08 18:59pm] This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun

Both "blanket agreeableness" and "unnecessary criticism" can be a waste of time, but to me, Madonna's choice of how she wants her face and body to look is nothing to get worked up about.

If that's how she wants to look, I'm unaffected. [Edited 8/24/08 19:40pm] This sig is just a fig of your imago-neigh-shun
