Blanket labels suck   I never heard before that skinheads had any connection to west-Indies and reggae music. Anyway here in Austria skinheads are drunken racists and connected to neo-nazi organisations  . The only thing I can say to defend them is that some of them are very young and hopefully will find out how mis-guided they are once they grow up.
I myself would not kill anyone if I'd get away with it, may it be a KKK member, a skinhead, a child molester or whoever and no matter how terrible the actions of such people may have been. I don't believe humans should kill humans apart from self defending when it's inevitable to save your own life or that of someone else. It does appear that in Germany and Austria the movement has adopted that stance and i can see why and how people make that attachment. However i feel that to say "skinheads are racist" is the same as saying "black people are criminals" it just is not true. In the UK, again where the movement started, the connotation is not one of racism. Again, yes there are some that associate with the far right as there are in many walks of life, i just hate it when a whole group are lumped in with the bad of the bunch. The movement grew up around music and clothing styles, not as a political or racial entity | |
