Need Microsoft Office? Have a .edu mail address? Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Why is Office so expensive anyway ? And how come half of the world in far away countries can use it for free or buy it much cheaper without trouble ? "The first copy of an application cost millions, all the others are free"
that said Openoffice.org (www.openoffice.org is free, MS Office compatible and easy to use. It can save to different formats (MS Office too), exports to pdf directly (no need to install a surrogate pdf printer) and look-and-feel is Office like (no ribbon, but that's just a matter of time)

What do you mean ? And does it open "Word" documents that people sent me ...because if not, than there´s not much use in installing it. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. They aren't fully compatible yet and if you deal with big business, they don't have patience for people trying to make their free software work. But can´t they find out you have an unlicensed version on your pc when you get updates from them or when you are using one of their firewall products ? I make sure I don't ever download that Microsoft 'Genuine Advantage' update that detects stuff like that, but I do think I can no longer get Windows Media Player updates with my copied XP. I didn't get the full Office software though, just Word, because that's all I need. I dunno, I guess if I wanted updates I'd just buy a new copied disc of the windows stuff I have every few months to keep it all up to date. You just choose whatever software (windows, photoshop, nero etc.) you want when you buy a PC here and they put it on there for you in the shop before you leave.

It does open Word documents but obviously the proprietary macro stuff won't work. Most documents don't require macro's though. Layout wise they're compatible.

"The Real Thing" costs more than $60, this is only the Home/Student version. Dealing with big business is something else, I can't see a lot of reason to send about editable documents. 99% of the docs I send around is pdf. doc, xls, ppt and such are regarded 'executables' today and hence not allowed through most web and e-mail filters.
