I always found it crazy that you can drive a car in America before you're allowed to drink. I think you should know the effects of alcohol first.

Also, you can get wangs and baginas shook in your face at the age of 18 but can't sip on the champipple. surviving on the thought of loving you, it's just like the water
I ain't felt this way in years...

True-dat.
Snap said: Why not? Let people mess up their own damn lives FIRST before they start a family and ruin them too. Seriously, it's a total shame the way alcohol is marketed to the American public. Can't have good time without a beer now, can we?

I know one school that took their students to a hospital where paramedics, firemen, policemen and doctors got to talk and discuss the effects of drinking and driving. Some movies were shown and they got to be bandaged up, etc., as if they were a brain damaged person trying to use their hands to eat etc.
They even got taken to the morgue. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

They even got taken to the morgue. We were only given a simulated car that kinda gave the effect of drunk driving. I don't know what it really feels like to drive drunk, so I can't compare to see if it was an accurate enough simulator. That's a good thing, I suppose. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

i just turned 18 a few weeks ago, and i've never had anything to drink.
except a glass of wine at my friend's house. i think if they were to lower the drinking age, it would a be a taboo that would disappear and less people would abuse alcohol.

The way I see it, if you can serve and die in the armed forces, you can have a beer.
There's this little thing called "moderation" that doesn't seem to exist in American society. When I was a little kid, I'm talking as young as 5 years old, my mom would give me coffee and wine (well, a little bit of sangria at Christmas). Am I addicted to coffee or alcohol? No. I tasted it and went on to better-tatsing things like chocolate and Coca-cola. However, if it had been prohibited, maybe I would've sought to break the "taboo" (like RUHip just said) and maybe I'd be an alcoholic by now.
