MRSA Staph infection My mom told me on the way to work that she has this in her eye. Apparently this infection can take over your immune system and antibodies as it advances. It's highly contagious as well. Her best friend had this last year after being bit by a black widow and it took her 6 months to get out of her system. I'm pretty nervous and a lil scared since she said people have died from varieties of types of this kind of infection. Has anyone heard of this? "When words fail, music speaks..." --- Shakespeare

Yes...my godson had a big battle with MRSA over the last year or so. The infections cleared up and he's fine now. But, wow...in the eye... I hope she'll be ok.

Thank-you. I'm glad your godson is ok now. How long did his take to get rid of? "When words fail, music speaks..." --- Shakespeare

we're all good now. Oh wow. So, it's fairly common? I'm glad you all are ok! "When words fail, music speaks..." --- Shakespeare

I'm glad you all are ok! it's becoming more common. though we all three have HIV so we probably have had worse cases of it than the commoners You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Thank-you. I'm glad your godson is ok now. How long did his take to get rid of? Thanks, dear. Well, he was 2-1/2 when it started and it just kept coming back in different places (it was caused by a combo of going through potty training (i.e. sleeping in pull ups) and scratching from having excema. When the docs prescribed an anti-itch medication it finally went away - he's been MRSA free for about six months. I remember it would take a few weeks for one of the sores to go away after it was drained.

But, he's doing great now. I just hope it doesn't come back in the wintertime when his skin gets dry again.

My teacher had it this year. He's alright now, but it came back like 3 times. As long as she gets treated for it, she should be alright.

sorry to her that.
My dad got E-Coli a few years ago, that was quite scary. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Thanks, so much. Luckily they discovered it early on so it is not in advanced stages. She's just really scared as we all are, but has been keeping good spirits. "When words fail, music speaks..." --- Shakespeare
