Me thinks Superman needs a better pair of glasses...
Deer Hunter was De Niro and Walken.
And seriously, De Niro is NO Pacino...

rolleyes Yeah, you should be in a box for that one. I couldn't figure out who he was trynta be in that movie, plus the film itself was all over the place. Oliver Stone must've been high as hell during filming cuz there's no cohesiveness to that film IMO. Plus all the actors, except for LL, were running wild around Dallas during filming and it shows in the final product. lol

Co-Sign. I wouldn't even watch it again for the shower scenes.

I haven´t read the book but I remember seein the film for the
first time as a gay teen and being aroused, fascinated and disgusted at different times in the movie. Al Pacino gives a great performance.

he seems to have erased this film from his memory though, he even refuses to comment on it in interviews, i have heard.

"Dog Day Afternoon." Love everything about it; the setting, the costumes, the improvised dialogue, the acting, the direction, the writing, the real-time feel to it. It's a great film.

The book goes into more detail in the end about why he "took over" the job. cool It's a shame he won't talk about it. I thought it was one of his better films. Deep....

Al is my all time fave actor. I love damn near everything he's ever been in. All of The Godfathers, Dog Day Afternoon were brilliant. But like most, I think Al's shining moment was Scarface.
